Celebrate Lunar New Year and the Year of the Pig in the heart of Parramatta.

Fun for all ages with food, entertainment, performances, workshops and more. 

Enjoy delicious food and drinks from across Asia including favourites Pork Party and Koi Dessert Bar. 

Visit the main stage, hosted by SBS PopAsia’s Andy Trieu. Watch traditional and contemporary performances including a Dragon and Lion dance, drumming and a K-Pop showcase.

Head to Lunar Land for family-friendly fun. Join free workshops including fruit carving and knot tying. Make your own Year of the Pig mask, lantern or lucky knot. Learn new hip hop and K-Pop moves from our experts. Kids will love the pop-up farm where they can meet a real-life pig.

Snap a selfie with roaming performers and grab a cocktail in the Lunar Lounge. 

Enjoy the spectacular fireworks show, kicking off at 9.30pm

Transport Information

Getting There
Public transport is the best way to travel to Lunar New Year. Plan your trip ahead of time with up-to-date information via Transport NSW's Trip Planner or call 131 500.

Train
Centenary Square is a short walk from Parramatta Station. Parramatta Station has rail links to most major suburban centres in Sydney and the Blue Mountains with a travel distance of just 30 minutes from Sydney CBD.

Bus
Parramatta is well served by buses to the interchange on Argyle Street, near Parramatta Station. Bus routes connect Parramatta with other Sydney destinations such as Castle Hill, Hornsby, Ryde, Strathfield and the Sydney CBD.

Parking
Parking is available throughout the Parramatta CBD. The closest paid parking stations to Centenary Square are:

  • City Centre Car Park - Entry via George Street
  • Parramatta Station Car Park - Entry via Wentworth Street
  • Eat Street Car Park - Entry via Erby Place

Accessibility 
Accessible drop-off is available on Hunter Street. There is an accessible viewing area available near the main stage and accessible toilets are available at the event site.
