Three Bridges Run
Entries are open for this scenic river run in Western Sydney!
This year a NEW course distance has been added; the 5km Family Fun Run, along with the 9km, 21km or 29km courses. This means that kids can now join mum or dad and run the shorter distance together, complete with medals for all finishers. Alternatively, if you’re looking for a longer run to sink your teeth into, choose the half marathon or 29km option.
Held for the first time last year, this event weaves along the Parramatta River, located only 30mins West of Sydney CBD. The fast, flat course will no doubt see some personal records set by runners.
The course takes in the sites of George Kendall Riverside Park, Meadowbank Park, Rhodes Point and Newington Nature Reserve, using the Parramatta Valley shared use path. It even includes a loop around Parramatta Park, which takes you past the 15,000 strong Flying Fox Colony.
With the event starting and finishing at the University of Western Sydney Parramatta, transport will be a breeze with this area of Western Sydney easily accessible by trains and busses.
There’s also the opportunity to fundraise for event partner, JDRF, to support type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. They’re offering some awesome runner incentives for those runners that raise $100 or more;
- 50% of your entry fee reimbursed (Raise a minimum of $250)
- FREE JDRF Runners Singlet
- VIP Registration access at the event
- VIP ‘Meet & Greet’ marquee access with BBQ
