Commemorate the Centenary of the Armistice – the historic agreement that ended the First World War – with a series of family-friendly activities and services on 11 November.

Remembrance Day Service

Gather together at the War Memorial for a service led by Parramatta RSL sub-branch. Watch a convoy of armoured and military vehicles arrive from the Lancer Barracks.

Armistice Family Day

Enjoy a family-friendly open day at the Lancer Barracks, complete with:

  • Kids activities and workshops: dress up in Light Horse uniforms and write postcards from the "home front"
  • Interactive display depicting the war effort on the home front
  • Free community sausage sizzle lunch  
  • Storytelling
  • Live music and entertainment
  • Armoured and military vehicle display
  • World War 1 Home Front display
  • Tour of the NSW Lancers Memorial Museum
