Disarmed at the Armory - Seniors Festival Event

Disarmed at the Armory - Seniors Festival edition - is an in-depth program through Newington Armory and Newington Nature Reserve.

Begin the program at the Visitors Centre for a brief introduction to the wharf precinct before boarding the Heritage Railway. Once on-board, sit back and enjoy the tour commentary.

This tour includes a tour of the Gun Powder Magazine and its lantern-lit passageways, access to a former explosives storehouse and laboratory, working life display and armament display, time to explore the Heritage displays in buildings 144 and 142 as well as a set of historic postcards per participant.

Suitable for moderately active seniors, who are able to hop on and off the train and do a short walk. We also have the ability to accept wheelchairs, and those requiring walking assistance.
