21st - 29th September is Bike Week! Explore your community by joining a free guided bike ride around the City for Bike Week 2019.
Saturday, 21st September
Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf, Wentworth Point
10:15 am - 12:15 pm
See spectacular parklands and cultural heritage along the way, including mangrove boardwalks, shipwrecks and wildlife refuges. Return ride length of around 7km. There’s some traffic and we use off-road shared paths.
Thursday, 26th September
Toongabbie East Public School, Harris Road Constitution Hill
3:30 pm - 5 pm
Just for kids! Enjoy kids' bike lessons and guided ride at Constitution Hill. There are two rides:
Ride 1: Come along for free learn to ride lessons for 5 to 11-year-olds. Bring your own bike and helmet or use a loan bike (no charge).
Ride 2: or recent riders 12 years and up, come for a scenic guided adventure to Girraween Creek, mostly on shared paths. Return ride length of around 7km.
Saturday, 28th September
Newington Marketplace, Avenue of Europe Newington
10 am - 12 pm
A scenic guided ride from Newington Marketplace to Sydney Olympic Park train station and/or Concord West train station. Return ride length of around 8km nearly all on shared paths. The ride is 8km from Newington return at an easy pace. There’s some traffic and we use off-road shared paths.
What you need to know:
- You must register. Register online now.
- Beginners welcome
- Bring your own bike and helmet
- Suitable for mountain or road bike
- All cyclists must wear a correctly fitted helmet
- Participants should have their bike in good working order
- Free light refreshments will be provided
This free community event is coordinated by the City of Parramatta Council, in association with Bike North and Transport for NSW. Numbers are limited.
