Parramasala
The heart of Parramatta will be transformed into a vibrant, colourful centre of high quality international arts celebrating South Asian culture when Parramasala returns for its second year, with a bigger and more diverse program of events at key attractions from 30 October to 6 November 2011.
The scope of the program this year will include music, dance, theatre, performance, visual arts and community participation. The festival will draw artists from Bangladesh, France, India, Sri Lanka, Germany, USA, Malaysia, Australia and further afield.
There will be two central Parramatta entertainment areas created for the 2011 festival. The Town Hall and St John’s Cathedral square and the Riverside Theatres and riverbank will both come alive with stages, stalls and performance venues.
Full program will be announced in August. To sign up to the Parramasala e.newsletter or for more information on the festival visit www.parramasala.com.
